Some couples have definite ideas about what they are looking for in a Lifestyle Session. I've heard everything from..."Let's do urban...grungy even...graffiti walls and all"...to "Let's go with a classic feel...you know...green grass...trailing vines...old wrought iron doors"... etc.
I enjoy brainstorming. Offering input on anything from wardrobe options to prop choices. It's a specific preference of mine that a particular color be woven throughout the shoot.
This sweet couple knew exactly what they wanted.
A simple shoot in their home. Just being together with their son.
My job was to capture them as they are. As a family.
The Winn Family
I had a session this week-end approx. 100 miles from home.
Perfect for us that Oak Glenn , Southern California's Premiere Apple Growing Area is just down the street from the shoot location.
We spent some time picking organic Spartan apples, raspberries, and strawberries before heading into the quaint little APPLE village to eat warm sugar & cinnamon mini donuts.
Then...it was off to the shoot.
Berry & Fresh Mint Reduction cooling in the fridge and Chunky Applesauce slow cooking in the crock pot as I type :) It's smellin' all sorts a GOOD up in here.
